MEDICATION AIDE -CONTINUING EDUCATION

SEMINAR OBJECTIVES
The Medication Aide in-service is designed to satisfy the 7 hours in- service education requirement, which is part of the renewal process as specified at 40TAC chapter 95 and in the program regulations. The purpose of the in- service is to maintain and enhance the competency of Permitted Medication Aides to administer medications as specified at and 40 TAC Chapter 95, Medication Aide and to protect the health and welfare of facility residents
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must: Be at least 18years of age Have a valid state identification and social security card Be free of communicable disease and is physically and emotionally fit to administer medication safely Have a current Medication Aide Certification
In-service education must be competed three to four months before the permit expiration date.
SEMINAR COST
Total cost for the course is $50. This includes registration, tuition and supplies.
CLASS SCHEDULE
The seven-hour Medication Aide Continuing Education Seminar (maCEtp) is a one-day class from 9am to 5pm. Students will take 30 minutes break every three hours.
